Public Safety Officer (Police/Fire/EMS)
LATERAL ENTRY - The Town of Steilacoom is establishing an eligibility list for Lateral Entry Public Safety Officer. Public Safety Officers are cross trained in law enforcement, firefighting and as emergency medical technicians. Applicants must be 21 years of age at time of appointment, U.S. citizen, High School graduate/GED, able to read and write the English language and possess a valid Washington Driver’s License at the time of appointment.

Applicants for Lateral Entry must be currently employed, for at least one year, as a commissioned police officer or firefighter and must have successfully completed a Basic Law Enforcement Academy or Firefighting Academy.
