Farmers Market

Welcome to the Official Webpage of the Steilacoom Farmers' Market
Eat Fresh * Buy Local * Sustain Community
Happy New Year!

The chilly mornings of Winter don’t stop us from thinking about what we want to plant and eat this Spring!  The Steilacoom Farmers’ Market will re-open on Wednesday - June 14, from 3pm to 7pm.  Our farmers and local producers work all year ‘round to bring us the best of the season so stay tuned for highlights in the coming months.

The 2017 new vendor application and market guidelines will be posted online on January 19th for new entrepreneurs.  And, if you’re interested in participating as a Market Ambassador / Volunteer, that application will be available online, as well.

*Remember that our Market accepts SNAP / EBT, WIC and Senior FMNP vouchers for fresh produce so help us spread the word about good nutrition, good community building, and FUN Market Wednesdays in Steilacoom!

What a fantastic Farmers' Market season we had this year: 11 dedicated Volunteers, 2 hard-working Market Interns Janine Kelley (Pierce College) and Lacey Nicholson (Pacific Lutheran University), 55 awesome vendors, cooking demonstrations by Lakewood's Hunan Garden Restaurant and Center for Food Preservation Arts, berry tastings, family activities, Farmers' Market Week celebration, music by the Steilacoom High School Wind Ensemble, Steilacoom Summer Day Camp Flash Mob, Pierce Transit, WIC & EBT services, and generous support from our local Kiwanis Club of Steilacoom.  But our Market would not exist without YOU, our community.  THANK YOU for supporting local agriculture and investing your dollars here, in Pierce County.

We welcome your participation to maintain continued variety and bright energy next June by applying to volunteer, and continue sharing @steilacoomfarmersmarket on Facebook to help us spread the word about our vibrant Market with your network.  The success of our Market can't happen without YOU!

With gratitude
